something I don’t understand…
why, in video games, are there fatter guy characters for fatter gamer guys to identify with, but no overweight girl characters? like…ever? I’ve been watching a lot of Street Fighter vs Tekken streams lately, and ALL the females are pencil thin, most with giant boobs, and wearing next to nothing?
would anyone look twice at a female game character that was a slightly overweight tomboy like me? would she be taken seriously? the answer, sadly…is no.
video games, I love you…but let’s diversify a bit. I know there’s a Trans character in one of the fighting games, which is AWESOME cause she’s popular and is very obviously trans…but I still find fault with her design cause her “shorts” are basically a strip of cloth. yes. let’s objectify women more.

They’re video games. In the long run, they’re designed to appeal to straight men. Of course there’s going to be more traditionally attractive females opposed to traditionally unattractive ones.
